"But I was young and foolish then, I feel old and foolish now"
-They Might Be Giants
There once was a girl by the name of D'zynthia, who liked to be held and the boy who liked to do the holding was Marvin. Whenever he wasn't plowing his father's fields or counting the city boys' cars on their way to patronize the drive-in, Marvin would fill his time shuffling about underneath her window. On this particular evening, Marvin was shuffling about in hopes of running through the moon glown fields with D'zynthia. They had made plans that morning and both had struggled impatiently throughout the day.
While waiting, Marvin paced to and fro, observing the tendencies of the tree leaves as they parachuted from the fluttering mothership. Marvin thought, "How strange it would be to have a race of tree leaves populate a planet. And then how stranger it would be if they tried to take over the earth. Not a very scary alien race," he concluded.
Other than the wheels of Marvin's imagination and the chorus of crickets, who made their ghostly presence known across the land, the night was rather quiet.
