Once upon a time...

There was a happy little bird who loved to sing and dance and who enjoyed flying and playing with the other birds, it was a joy to watch him. He was a beautiful little bird and everyone that saw him would not fail to be impressed. He was full of life and full of happiness.

Every morning when the little bird woke up he would sing his little song, do his little dance and then go and find his little breakfast. His breakfast would consist of earthworms, caterpillars, and nice juicy maggots. He had babies to feed and his wife would help him find food for their two little baby birds so he was always very busy AND he was always very happy.

One morning when the little bird was out looking for breakfast, as usual he was singing his little song and doing his little dance when suddenly a net trapped him. The Bird Catcher caught him. The Bird Catcher was the man who caught birds and then sold them for money.
“What a beautiful bird, I am going to make a lot of money from this one,” said the man who catches birds.

He put the little bird in a tiny little cage and then he put the tiny little cage in his shop to sell with the rest of the other birds. The cage was so small the little bird only had enough room to move from one side to the other. He was not happy and so he stopped singing and dancing.
