I travelled halfway around the world to try and erase the image of my fiancé screwing another woman. Unfortunately my plan wasn’t working. Despite being at an amazing spa hidden in a Tuscan valley, I couldn’t get the betrayal out of my head.
Owen and I had been together for over two years and were planning a June wedding. Well, that was the plan until I left work early the Friday before Christmas to go home and get ready for my office Christmas party. As soon as I opened the door to the condo I shared with Owen, I saw a pair of high heels that weren’t mine tossed in the entryway. When I found a mini skirt and a blouse draped over the back of the couch, I knew I wasn’t going to like what I found next.
I found Owen and some floozy in the bathroom. She was bent over the counter, her head almost in the sink, as Owen screwed her from behind. It took a few seconds for him to register my reflection in the mirror but as soon as he did, he stopped pumping away. I didn’t want to hear what pathetic excuse Owen would have so I left before he had a chance to make himself presentable and start blubbering a list of lame excuses.
