Dedicated to all pioneers...

“A hero is an ordinary individual
who finds the strength to persevere and endure
in spite of overwhelming obstacles.”

Christopher Reeve

(the man who taught us to fly)

In the beginning, there was peace. For mankind, peace was an illusion, something they couldn’t, or perhaps wouldn’t, achieve during their span on the Earth. Peace usually came after obedience, which was something the human race wasn’t gifted in becoming. Secluded from the humans, living on a series of islands in the Atlantic Ocean, were the Atlanteans. They knew of peace. Rumors of their existence circulated the mainland where the humans dwelled, but most of their rumors were just that.

One fact about the Atlanteans that the humans managed to deduce was how advanced they were in comparison. The people of Atlantis had a very different approach to architecture, making their buildings, cathedrals, and houses so beautiful, no human being could even dream of such places. A lot of the structures were circular designs, instead of the boxes humans seemed to constantly surround themselves in.
