Can a Rooster Drive a Tractor? is a colorful, thirty-two page picture book for children 3-7 years of age, published in print by the Alabama Farmers Federation and written and illustrated by a sister and brother raised in the rural South. It features an initially unhappy little tractor who repeatedly asks all her barnyard friends for help. The animated and sometimes costumed animals respond with rhyming answers that children find funny and adults find humorous. Little Tractor teaches the importance of deciding to change a sad mood through persistent action as she seeks help from her friends and finally the farmer. In print it has been a favorite picture book of children and parents have been asked to read it with them again and again. It is a good bed-time read as well as a wonderful book to help children learn how to discover information and think for themselves when an adult uses the companion guide listed in this book and also available on Smashwords. The exposure of the book has been largely limited to Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. This eBook makes it available world-wide.
