Author’s Note

This collection is a mix of new and previously released material. While the stories are short, they have a lot of passion in them, and that’s what I hoped to preserve in this diminutive volume.

What She Doesn’t Know originally appeared as a featured story on a blog that sadly no longer exists. The Matador first appeared under a different title as an online contest piece. Red Light, Green Light first appeared in Sommer Marsden’s Dirtyville Anthology.

To my knowledge, Red Light, Green Light is the only story in this collection currently available elsewhere.

Trapped in the closet of all fucking places. If I remember right, my wife, Christine, has accused me of that before, but I’ve put up with so much nagging from her over the years it’s hard to keep track of the insults. In this case, I just wanted my stuff back: my favorite shirt, my biker boots, and if I could find it, the box of old mementos I’d stashed at the top of the closet when we’d first moved into the house. Items I’d asked her for six weeks ago when we’d first split up. Since then, she’s told me repeatedly over the phone she can’t deliver them because she’s working the night shift. Yeah, right.
