THE LITTLE PIG

WHO DIDN’T GO TO MARKET

Where's Farmer Brown going with Peter?” Petunia asked her mother. Farmer Brown was leading a white pig up a ramp into a wooden trailer. The trailer was hitched to a red pick-up truck.

To the county fair,” answered Mama Pig. “Farmer Brown entered him in a pig show.”

So that's why Farmer Brown gave Peter a bath,” said Petunia. “He scrubbed Peter's back He scrubbed behind his ears. He even dunked his tail in soapy water. When the tail came out, it had more curl.”

Yes,” said Mama Pig. “Peter is a prize pig. His haunches roll when he walks. Your big brother will win a blue ribbon at the county fair. You can be proud of your brother.”
