Dr. Mark Fisher had been working on his invention in secret for years. As with any other personal creation, it was a labor of love (though in this case, it was also a labor of lust). He had toiled in the basement of his small cottage-style home for many a night, leaving the house above empty and quiet, neglected even. But now was his moment to shine.

On a sticky, hot summer day, Dr. Fisher was working away in his basement like any other afternoon. His glasses had sunk down to the end of his nose as he deftly moved a soldering iron over a complex circuit board. The acrid smoke streamed up in little wisps every time the red hot tip of the iron touched a point on the board. Dr. Fisher leaned back with a sigh and set down the iron in its cradle. He wiped his face with a sleeve of his dirtied and dingy lab coat, and then nudged his glasses back to their correct position. He was just in time to hear the rattle of the mail truck rolling down the street. The mustache at the corners of his mouth curled up and twitched with excitement.

“This is the day, M3. Everything could be changing for us!”
