Bryan struggled to go to high school and worked part time after school so he could help his family out as much as he could. They were lucky only being a family of three, but it was still hard to make ends meet.
Bryan did not compete in after school activities, but always daydreamed of what it would be like to be needed in the big game. He’d imagine being down by two points in the bottom of the ninth, bases loaded, and stepping up to that plate. He’d swing at the first pitch and barely miss it. He’d hit the next one, but it would go too far left into foul territory. He’d choke up on the bat and swing at that third pitch and send it sailing over the fence behind center field and win the game.
