Greg's Ghost

Greg Box does not believe in ghosts, at least, not in the same way Maggie did. That first morning, over a year ago now, when Maggie told him the apartment was haunted, Greg, of course, thought she was kidding. Or crazy. Or both.

Tonight, he is thinking of her, because he found a bottle of the digestive enzymes she always used in the medicine cabinet as he was searching for the ibuprofen. He wears earplugs now at the gigs but he still gets these damn headaches, as if it's not the decibels themselves but everything else slamming into his brain. Lights, whistles, multiple body odors.
