“None are so hopelessly enslaved, as those who falsely believe they are free. The truth has been kept from the depth of their minds by masters who rule them with lies. They feed them on falsehoods ’til wrong looks like right in their eyes.”

Johann Von Goethe

Pam Bradley

I thought I was dead.

A brilliant flash of light and my senses went numb. A void in sensory input, not the tingle of my skin or a sound in the air. The world was silent.

Was this a dream?

Had I fallen asleep?

My senses returned, screaming into focus with a blast of heat and smoke. An explosion sent me crashing through a window and out the building. I hurtled toward the busy downtown streets of Los Angeles. The flaming debris fell ahead, about to rain upon the streets below. I’m sure someone was about to lose a brand new car.

Someone planted a bomb without us knowing. My team and I failed to protect our client. So much for our perfect track record. Crap. Not the easy mission we expected.
