It was earlier than Sheila liked to be awakened, but college would mean the end of summer, and the start of her 18th year. Stan called down the hall to her to get up, but she didn't move. He wasn't sure what time she made it in last night, but it was after 1 am he knew, that's when he last saw the clock. He supposed he had to get used to it, since she was the magic number now, 18. Her mom was gone now, but in all honesty, Sheila was like a smaller version of her.
Again he called down the hall, "Sheila, get up." this time he put some emphasis behind the threat, "I'll come pour water on you". He chuckled to himself, in all the years of him waking her up by calling down the hall, he had never thrown water on her, and it was rare that he would have to approach her door. Since he didn't hear her moving around or have her bouncing through the house in her little hip hugging panties, he put down the coffee cup and moved down the hall. It wasn't his intention to move so quietly, but he did.
