London is served by five airports: London City Airport, London Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Luton. Heathrow is the main international hub, but the other four also offer international flights. Bear in mind when booking your flights that some are more convenient than others. Transfer costs also increase with distance, so often the cheap flights to outlying airports work out more expensive than first thought...
Located in the Docklands, City Airport is by far the most convenient option, particularly if you’re staying east of the city. If you’re visiting for the Olympic Games, the Olympic village is only around 15 minutes away! Also popular with business travellers thanks to its proximity to London’s banking district, Canary Wharf.
