Sometimes the hardest part of writing is getting started. We have put together a number of sentences to help you overcome that hurdle. These are “flat sentences” – they have very little detail or information, but that’s where you, the writer, come in.


You will get five chances to rewrite each sentence. Don’t spend much time on each day doing this. These are quick assignments. The first four days you should only spend about five minutes. You can give yourself up to ten minutes on the fifth day.


These writings do not have to be perfect – in fact they should not be corrected for punctuation, spelling, etc. The idea is to get you writing.
