Raine Fall

By DC Juris

Raine jerked awake, fuzzy mind struggling to make sense of what had interrupted his sleep. His cell phone chimed at him from the kitchen. He rolled over to look at the clock. The blaring red numbers indicated three a.m.. Who the hell was calling him at three a.m.? He swung his legs over the edge of the bed and stumbled down the hall, through the swinging doors into the kitchen and swiped up his phone. Despite the hour, he smiled at his ex-boyfriend's number as he hit the send key. "It's awfully late for a booty call."
