An excerpt from the book:
My mouse cursor was hovering over the email, almost daring me to click it. If it really was from the CEO, I had a duty to follow his orders. It was probably just spam anyway. What harm could there possibly be? The reply email address was a garbled mixture of letters and numbers sent from an anonymous service, which was the only thing that caused concern. I didn’t want to spread a virus to the rest of the office.
“Just open the damn thing,” I thought, crushing the ridiculous thoughts in my head. Sometimes I had a tendency to over think things. With a cautious curiosity, I opened it.
“I caught you looking yesterday, Suzanne,” read the text at the top of the screen. Then, right below it, “Your assignment is simple. Touch yourself. I’m watching.”
The day was progressing as normal. Balance sheets had been adjusted and sent on to my manager, I had called all of the reps and gotten status updates, and my second cup of coffee was nearly finished. I decided it was the perfect time to step away from the desk and refresh my go juice.
