The Wacky, Absurdist Musings of My Five Year Old
(that keep me in stitches)

When my first child was born in 2004, Frankie Tan Ragone, I vowed never to become that dad who did nothing but endlessly recount stories of the young tyke’s exploits.
That’s not to say that I wouldn’t be bursting at the seams with every first – word, step, display of personality. Of course I would be, and was. But I knew I’d have to resist the urge to go overboard with chronicling every moment, if for no other reason than to do my part to keep the “child voyeurism” epidemic in check. I’d be scoring good karma points, I told myself, if I could maintain a bit of perspective and not let my cup runneth over with Frankie stories.
And it sort of worked. I was probably a bit more of a braggart than tolerable, but nothing so egregious as to alienate my friends and family (or so I hope!).
Then two things happened.
