I first want to say this is dedicated to people that have been abused. I wanted to write a little about my experience. I was mentally abused. I was abused by a boyfriend at that time. I broke up with him of course. It took some courage. Somehow, I got through it.He would say a lot of hurtful things. For instance he would say that nobody would love me. He didn’t want me to go out with any of my friends. I hated him for it. I wished I wouldn’t have met him in the first place.
I couldn’t go anywhere without him. I of course had known that this was wrong. This guy was always on drugs. The last straw was when I was with him.He wanted me to do stuff that was illegal. I said no. I left and I have never looked back. I got through abuse with my friends staying by me and supporting me. I also got a lot of counseling. The counselor told me to try to forget some of the things this person said to me. It was hard at first to forget, but now I can’t remember any of it. For the safety of myself, I had to move out in the middle of the night.
