This is a work of fiction. All the characters and events portrayed in these stories are either fictitious or are used fictitiously.

Risgan the Relic-Retriever’s fortune plummets to new lows. Ship-wrecked on the Mantaray Coast by the great crab Kraul and suffering a near fatal encounter with the cave-creature, ‘Grinneth’, he is less jaunty of demeanour, but perhaps more cunning in his deeds. A strapping, tawny haired man, adept at relic-hunting, he has grown ever more youthful, perhaps half his age of forty-five, as a result of a curious magic talisman he keeps in his possession, a fabulous gem of nephrite, blessed with the granting of powers of aging or its reversal. And yet, the relic-hunter wonders when the grip of the enchantment will end . . .
