Act One


Setting: We are in the living room of a modest but comfortable suburban home. The

furniture consists of a sofa, matching end tables with lamps, and an armchair.

On the right wall upstage is the front door leading to the outside. Next to it is a

small table. Down stage on that same wall is a closet door. On the left wall is

a hallway which leads to the kitchen and the rest of the house.
