I leaned against the side of the house, my back nearly vibrating from the thumping of the music coming from the frat party. There was loud squealing in the background followed by cheers. I took a drink of my beer and tried not to think about how much I didn't want to be here. Frat parties weren't my thing, but I needed something to distract me from what my ex used to bitterly call Josh Mope.

Josh Mope involved lots of sighing and looking into the distance. Or at least that's what my ex claimed. For me it was different. I got this feeling in me, like I needed to move, to do something, followed by this deep yearning that I felt like I could drown in. The problem was I couldn't figure out what it was I was yearning for. Before I thought it was my need to get away from my craptastic family life and worked my ass off to get into a college as far from them as possible, but now that I was here I didn't now what the hell to do. It was almost the end of my first year and I was still down as undecided.
