I turned the air conditioner higher, then peered out the window of the trailer. We’d found a good spot no one seemed to use any more in the park. I found the noises of nature strange after being at a busy, crowded college in the city. But Aaron loved being outside.

He loved it so much, he’d given me the summer vacation “present” of going out for a week with him.

I sat down on the bed, letting the cool air wash over me. At least I was able to make him take the camper, I thought with a sour grin. Aaron had wanted us to bring a single tent, some sleeping bags, and practically nothing else.

Though, I noticed, he hadn’t complained when he saw me packing short-shorts.

We’d already been at the camp for a day and a night, and he was really looking forward to tonight because of the full moon. He said it lit everything up out here, made everything even better.
