Palm trees stand out against the clear, sunny sky. A passenger jet touches down on one of the airport’s runways.
EXT. AIRPORT TERMINAL
ROGER exits the terminal through the main entrance carrying a suitcase and garment bag. He proceeds to curbside where he hails a taxi. A taxi pulls up to the curb and Roger opens its rear door, telling the driver:
Fourth Avenue, downtown, please.
INT. HOTEL LOBBY – LATE AFTERNOON
Guests pass Roger as he enters the hotel lobby, which is clean but sparsely furnished. DESK CLERK stands behind the Front Desk. She is a young woman, thin and pale-complexioned, with long red hair.
