The Flight of the Swallow

It was springtime and a really warm exceptional sunny day. However as the morning past by the weather started to change. The milkman barely made it to the front door. When the door opened, Mrs. Stewart said, "Good morning", however, before she had a chance to pay, the bank note blew out of her hands, into the front garden as the milkman gave chase down the road until he caught it flying in the air.

Jackie was watching as the curtains moved in the big bay window as gusts of wind passed by the house.

"Mum," she said, "can I go and play outside?"

"All right, but put a jumper on," she said. "It's blustery today."

Jackie jumped off from the kitchen chair and ran to the big oak door. It opened easily as fresh air filled the kitchen blowing tea towels off of the radiator.

In the garden outside, yellow, gold flowers had grown overnight and were dotted around underneath green shrubs. Buds could be seen on the swaying trees, as smoke from a nearby chimney, danced in the air and blew down the street taking the form of playful whirlwinds.
