Three Fingers of Want

By Sommer Marsden

Kerry going from rail thin to voluptuous. Who would have thought it? Not me. Always on the thin side, she had legs that I used to call matchsticks. “Please, Dana, I prefer pencils.”

Whatever. Pencils, matchsticks, swizzle sticks, the bottom line was she was thin and angular in an age when we all wanted to be. I wanted the flare of my hips to somehow level out, the round swell of my ass to deflate. I wanted my small waist to become flush with the rest of me. I wanted my clothes to hang on me as if I were an animated clothes hanger. But it didn’t happen. And I got noticed. The hourglass figure and long blonde hair that corkscrewed in a wild fucked-up frenzy drew attention like a beacon.
