Introduction

37 years ago, I was born. I never knew what I would be then, but I hoped for greatness. My life was not an easy one; it was filled with disappointment, rejection, and unhappiness. People around me tried their best, and I don’t fault them, but I was missing something.

Fast forward to grade 9, and we are assigned to write a poem. I opted to write a poem about a young person who was abused. The teacher was so taken by this, that he approached the administration, and they took me aside to question me. Of course I was not abused at home, but in that instant I realized that I found a talent. I could write. Not only could I write, but I could capture the embodiment of something, without ever actually experiencing it. This led me on a path to Poetry. Over the years I have penned many verses, some from experience, some not. I humbly share these works with you now. I hope you enjoy reading them, as much as I enjoyed writing them.
