This is a collection of my Poems with a few of my Cartoons to add colour. I do not write for the poetry elite as I wish to communicate with ordinary people. John Betjeman is my hero.
My wish is to entertain and to throw a few bits of philosophy into your lap. I also love puncturing pomposity and the professions are fair game.
My earliest Poem, ‘The Stream’ was written in my early twenties. I was engaged in a survey of forests throughout England for the Forestry Commission and wrote it sitting on the banks of the North Tyne.
