Maurice DeMouse had a wonderful snooze.
As he woke from his afternoon rest, he wiped the sleep from his tiny mouse eyes, stretched his little mouse legs, shook his little mouse body, and wiggled his skinny little mouse tail. But his skinny little mouse tail didn’t wiggle. He couldn’t make it swish back and forth. He couldn’t make it stand up. It just dragged on the ground behind him.
“Wicky-Wacky-Whoa! I’m NOT ready to go!” said the concerned little Maurice.
“What has happened? My little tail is just dragging on the ground behind me.”
Just as he was lugging his skinny little tail out of his mousehole, Bobby the Bunny appeared. He noticed that Maurice’s tiny little mouse nose wasn’t twitching like it usually does. He also noticed that Maurice looked very sad; there was no sparkle in his tiny little eyes.
“What’s wrong, Maurice?”
When Maurice explained about his skinny little mouse tail, Bobby told Maurice that he once had trouble with his great big bunny ears. Bobby explained to Maureen that he had to go to the Rab-ital when his ears once flopped. He was so busy eating carrots all the time that he forgot to eat the green leafy vegetables; and he wasn’t taking his vitamins, so his ears flopped down.
