 Oxycontin is a white, odorless, crystalline powder that is originated from the opium alkaloid. This a drug, also known as oxycodone hydrochloride, and is considered to be a very powerful painkiller.  In the medical field this prescription drug is normally prescribed to those patients with chronic pains, who experience mild to severe pain on the daily basis.  This drug, has a potent analgesic opiod, that was developed and is commonly used in a terminal cancer patients.
