Right after I bought my really nice embroidery machine, I made gifts for everyone in the family, then everyone in my extended family. It wasn’t long before friends were asking for embroidery. Then, friends of family were asking, then their friends. My business was growing really fast. It was growing so fast that I didn’t have time to do everything that was asked of me. I was working a nine to five job, but doing embroidery on the nights and weekends. I was busy all the time. I loved embroidering items for people, so I kept up with it as much as possible. Then I was laid off from my job. To make money, I started actively seeking out more embroidery business. I’d like to say that I made enough money to do embroidery full time, but I didn’t. I did, however, make enough money to pay the bills. When I was offered another job, I had to think long and hard before making the decision to go back to work full time. So I thought I could help others with the little tricks that I learned while I was trying to make it on my own. Hopefully there’s something in here that you can use.
