India 1920 High in the Himalayas

“Topanga, how much further to the snow temple?” asked Dutch over the roar of the wind.

“It should be on the next plateau,” replied Topanga.

Ice formed on their coats and furry hats. Their eyebrows were white with frost, their eyes squinted against the icy blast that pummeled them as they slowly ascended the goat paths. The trail narrowed at the switch back and was blocked by boulders.

“Up and over,” said Topanga, shoving his boot into a crevice, and heaving himself up. He turned, laying on his chest, and holding his hand out for Dutch.
