It is a collaboration between four authors — two hardened professionals , two hitherto unpublished — written across two continents by exchange of emails.
As a team, we have never met. In fact I’ve only met my regular writing partner, Saffina Desforges, three times in real life. Neither Saffi nor I have met the other half of this collaboration — Miriam Joy and Charley Robson. And Miriam and Charley have themselves met only once in real life.

Miriam and Charley were just 15 and 16 years old when I first e-met them and suggested they might want to collaborate on a new series I had long been thinking about. A series set in a modern-day girls’ boarding school.
