The Mountain and The Silver Sea
Two Short Stories

Here are two stories that I thought worked well together. Furthermore, I figured the cover picture went well with both. The first, The Mountain, is pretty much a straight ahead allegory, although I’ll leave it to better minds to explain it. The second, The Silver Sea, is my reporting of a dream I had many years ago. I considered working it into a short story, but decided I should just record the dream exactly as I remembered it and allow the reader to interpret meaning. The only thing I added to it was the phrase “reflecting the light of an unseen sun”. It puts a theistic aspect to the story, but I allowed myself that little alteration. The story makes perfect sense to me, but then again, dreams always seem to make sense to the dreamer.
