-- Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.
Re-starting your life is not for sissies. Know that this is the beginning of a new journey for you. It requires that you take some action to make changes. You know there’s something missing in your life; remind yourself you need to find it. You’re going to kick-start a new you into gear. What does it take to do that? Fuel. If you want to get anywhere in life, whether you’re twenty-three or sixty-three, you need fuel for the engine, to turn the gears that turn the wheels and get you moving. As human beings, we need motivation to keep us heading towards our goals.
Passion is a powerful fuel for empowering you to make changes in your life, but only if you can harness that strength and make it work for you in meaningful ways. It’s more than just being a force to be reckoned with in the world. It’s about being willing to do the work that makes you stand out as someone unique and inspirational and, even more important, wise. Unbridled passion can get you in deep trouble. It can take you away from the life you were meant to live and into dangerous territory. Passion isn’t about mindless risk or senseless drama. Passion that is tempered by wisdom drives you to be someone amazing.
