Genre- Coming of age, drama.

Setting- The novel is set in Alabama in a fictional town known as Maycomb. It takes place over the course of two years from 1933 to 1935.

Point of View- The novel is written in the first person from the character Scout's point of view, she recounts the story several years after it occurred.
