Season Review

Apparently on the way to another dismal season after losing their first three games, the Eagles fired head coach Jerry Williams and replaced him with young Ed Khayat.

The Eagles lost their first two games under Khayat, but then went on to a 6-2-1 record.

The defense triggered the reversal by jelling into one of the league’s top units.

On this surprising platoon, only Tim Rossovich and Bill Bradley had recognizable names; the others were parts of a nameless horde which swarmed over enemy players.

The Eagles’ offense, on the other hand, was feeble.
