The day was covered in normalcy. I went walking by myself into the woods daydreaming of the day I become a figure of praise. I desired to be special and to be looked at as special.
Before I had a chance to collect thoughts I begun to hear pricing screams from my village. I ran home to find stealth people covered in black. The screams were close; I could hear it outside by our village. As I came home franticly my body was stunned. I still remember that day. The memory was burned in my mind.
I was only three, but could still remember the touch. It was a red, thick substance that covered my once peaceful home. The substance was everywhere... It stained walls and drip off bodies that belonged to my family. My mother and father who cared for me, who loved me, were slaughtered now drowning in blood. Blood. I couldn't recall the word or its existence. I never saw it, which made me grew with interest of what blood was.
