Death comes at midnight

The car came to a stop and the driver came out slowly, as if he didn't want to be there.

"For Christ's sake! Why do people still do this? Nothing for more than ten years, and now all these deaths in less than three months. This city is going to hell."

As he got closer he saw a few uniformed police officers and a white silhouette which he recognised as Jane - the medical examiner. He had very often wondered if she was naked underneath the white overalls. He remembered her body - slim, with curves in all the right places. They had gone out a few times and even slept together but he was a almost ten years older than her and he felt that nothing good would come out of a relationship. So he ended it quickly. But seeing her now in the early morning light he came to the conclusion that it hadn't been the best decision he ever made.
