Paper Mache Aliens

The two men in white lab coats stood quietly in a small elevator. A flash of light came through the cracks in the old elevator car as they descended past each level. A decades-old arrow pointed to the level numbers, -9, -10, -11, -12. The elevator stopped and the door slid open with creaks and groans when the arrow pointed to -15. They were 150 feet below the surface of the Nevada desert.

“Is this it?” asked the first man. The name “Smith” was embroidered on his lab coat.

“I guess so,” replied the second man. The name “Jones” was embroidered on his lab coat.

An old man wearing a faded Army uniform approached the two men as they exited the elevator.

“Dr. Smith, Dr. Jones,” started the old soldier. “Welcome to the 15th level. Please follow me.”

The two men followed the old soldier down a hallway, took three left turns, and came to a large hanger.

“Wait here Dr. Smith and Dr. Jones,” instructed the old soldier.
