The Great Man

John Williams was flying back from his company's convention where he had been fired. He was sitting in coach feeling the weight of his life pressing down on him, his mind adding up his charge card bills, the rent, and the alimony. He was so far behind on everything he was drowning and now he had to look for a job. He hated looking for a job, the endless interviews, filling out mind numbing resumes, the waiting for the phone call that never came. Suddenly he breathed in honeysuckle perfume and turned to see the pretty redhead stewardess smiling down at him.
