I sat in my car, shaking. The man had barely touched me and I had fallen apart.
He followed me from the bookstore with only a coffee in hand, telling me to lift up my skirt and further vile things he would like to see.
Then when my key stuck in the lock as it always does, he caught up to me and stood close. Close enough that I could feel his coffee breath on the top of my head. I shriveled up in his shadow, afraid to look in his eyes—though I was the one being wronged.
