To my wife: I know for sure that cancer is a terrible and painful disease, and I regret that you had to go through it. Cancer has taught me more about Christ and what is truly important. It has given me a greater love for you, our family, and of course Jesus Christ.
The Crisis Begins
“Why don’t you call your doctor?” I said. “He has had more than enough time to look at that report.”
Linda had been lying sick on the sofa or in the bed for nearly two months now. No actual problems had been found, and treatments for possible problems the doctors thought she might have had not been successful. We had been praying, but we didn’t even know what to pray about.
Linda said, “Okay, I will call.”
I think we had both been worried about this report. She kept saying she felt better, but I could see she didn’t. I was afraid there would still be no answers and more expensive tests to take. Of course, one of my thoughts was, how are we going to pay for this?
