Spring is a time of change. Snow gives way to rain and white gives way to green. Within weeks we see the beginning of life around us. Be you in the country or on the city life returns and blossoms.

But sometimes the emotions of the season are not those of happy relief. Sometimes spring reminds us of what we do not have. These poems are a mix of happy and sad, of life and laughter.

Spring in the window

Sitting on my window sill

pots of seedlings growing green

soon they will be ready

to plant outside

The little one is excited

she can not wait
