Chapter 1

The President wasn’t convinced. He asked the preacher again:

“Do you really believe that the US government can manufacture the HIV virus and give it to its own citizens?”

“Many Americans believe that…very passionately” Reverend Carson said.

“People believe and spread many theories. It is their right…they want to make the most out of the freedom of expression”

There was a slight breeze in the room. Reverend Carson adjusted his seat. He faced the President.

“There are other concerns” It was a whisper.

“These four years…your term in this house will soon end”

“I find it interesting…you, the pastor of my youth of all people accusing me of not doing much for the people of color”

“It’s not an accusation. It’s the truth. The African American and other minorities have waited for hundreds of years for a President like you”
