The funeral was a gas. No, I meant that literally. No sooner had we gathered around the site, than we smelled gas. The diggers had hit a gas line the company forgot to mark. Before we knew it, the area had been taped off by the police and crews of gas company workers repaired the breach. As I watched in a high-rise, with binoculars, they lowered Jim's casket into the ground and shoved the dirt over it with their machines.
