Chapter 1


Tirk was in a box.

It was not an ordinary box, no. Tirk was sure of it. It was a perfect cube with smooth, pale blue walls. Each side was twice his height at the moment, but that could change at any time, depending on what he did. There were no doors, no windows, and no discernible exits. Not yet, anyway.
