Stolen Kiss Book 1
Shelley Longfield loved her job as personal assistant to CEO Hunter Bankston. His company was always busy, often chaotic depending on the number of projects, meetings and the zillion other things that were part of a large corporation. But with her as his personal assistant, the office ran smooth as a well-oiled machine, thanks to her ability to control, plan and implement.
A tall, good-looking man strode through the open door. Shelley held up a hand, silently asking him to wait while she put her current call on hold, jabbed the next blinking light, took a message for her boss, and then finished her business with the head of accounting, who wanted to meet with Hunter.
While talking and consulting her calendar, she dealt with three instant messages, which all popped up on her computer. Yep, crazy busy as usual, but she was in her element. The busier, the better. She was a woman who craved responsibility, just as some women craved chocolate.
Two calls later, she looked up and smiled, leaning back in her chair. “I’m so sorry, Damon,” she said, addressing the waiting man. “It’s been absolutely crazy today.” As always, Damon Windsor, Hunter’s friend and business partner, wore a tailored black suit, a crisp, bright white shirt, and a dark tie. Aside from her boss, he was one of the most commanding men she’d ever dealt with.
