He laid the knight to rest at the side of the path, and folded heavy steel arms over a shattered silver breastplate. It was not enough. Nor were the simple words he spoke as he knelt beside the body, placing the silver greatsword in those mighty gauntleted hands. There was no time for a proper burial, no way to bring the man home and put him to rest as he deserved. No home to bring him back to. Nothing would be enough.
