The Blue Fairy

The bed shook, and sudden panic lit Dave’s mind. He gave a start, sat up, and stared in shock at Steve Collins—whose sweaty, drunken gaze bored into him, while his friend began to rattle at his bed with fever. “Dave! The Fairy—the Fairy got him,” Steve cried out, his blue eyes carved in fear. Then his lip began to quiver. “H-he got Harold when we left the bar, and now he’s comin’ after us. He knows all what we done!”
