They sat across from each other in a dimly lit office. The man behind the desk wore his shirt collar open, the other wore a bow tie that matched the grey in his neatly-trimmed beard. The first appeared weary, his eyes momentarily turned away. The other man waited, his face stern and resolute, his hands folded across a stack of documents sitting on his lap. In time the man behind the desk sighed and faced his guest.
